A gamified Token distribution contract that allows you to reserve a ticket corresponding to the last number of the block hash produced by the Fortuna Bitcoin PoW Smart Contract when trading Cardano Native Tokens. Players reserve their tickets and whoever has the ticket matching the last number of the block hash claims the prize-pool. Verifair is trustless, permissionless and verifiably fair. There is no central party controlling the game - anyone can interact with the contract on the blockchain to start a game or award the winner.
How does it work?
Everytime a block is mined by the Fortuna miners an NFT in the fortuna smart contract updates the data associated with that block. This data contains information like the current block, the block hash and the difficulty. The verifair smart contract uses two NFTs which are locked in the contract - the game NFT and the players NFT.
The game NFT manages the game state parameters (closed/open/target block), while the player NFT holds the payment/stake keys of the participants who have reserved a block. The smart contract ensures no ticket can be bought within 2 blocks of the target draw to prevent any chance of front-running. Once the fortuna miners have mined the target block a transaction can be submitted to the verifair contract to disburse the prize-pool to the winner. The fortuna target block datum reference UTxO is provided to the smart contract which ensures only the player who reserved the ticket corresponding to the winning block hash number can receive the prize-pool.
How do I participate?
Verifair is permissionless so anyone can list assets, buy tickets or execute any function in the contract - like paying the raffle winner the prize pool.If you wish to participate in the raffle you can purchase one of the assets for sale, buying an asset enters enters you in the raffle to win the prize pool when the target block has been mined.
